Uxbridge
The township of Uxbridge is situation in a beautiful valley on the northern slope of the Oak Ridges Moraine, located approximately 64km northeast of Toronto, and is home to 19,169 people.
Uxbridge has much to offer in the way of recreation, entertainment, heritage and culture, and a thriving arts community.  Its quaint main street offers fabulous shopping- from home furnishings to haute couture clothing stores- this town has it all!  In addition, the availability of “big box” stores on the south end of town provides the convenience that you never have to leave town for your shopping.
Uxbridge has a number of museums, art galleries, and The Uxbridge Music Hall, which plays host to a number of performances annually by the local theatre groups.  The restaurants in town, although few, rival those you might think to find only in a city centre with menus to suit the finest foodie.
For the outdoor enthusiast, Uxbridge bears title to the “Trail Capital of Canada”, offering over 220km of recreational trails for you to enjoy.  From the Countryside Preserve, to Durham Regional Forest, to the selection of trail networks that weave throughout the township- you are never short of a trail to meander along and enjoy the landscape Uxbridge has to offer.   There are also 3 ski hills within very close proximity, as well as a wealth of other sporting venues such as the Uxbridge Arena, dance studios, four gym facilities, UxPool, the Uxbridge Curling Club, world-class golf courses (including Wooden Sticks- a Signature Hole golf course, and the newest course offering from ClubLink- Wyndance) and more soccer fields than you could imagine!
